WhitePointer™

Underwater Communication System (UCS)

WhitePointer™  is a cutting-edge underwater communication system that enables reliable voice and data transmissions between surface vessels, submarines, various underwater platforms such as SDVs, DPVs, AUVs and UUVs, and divers.

WhitePointer™  can be fully integrated with onboard communication systems, and supports underwater acoustic communication networks with multiple users. Implementing various types of modulations for data transmission, the system includes a high power, synthesized transceiver with preset frequencies. This allows for fast channel change by the operator with no risk of error. Up to 30 frequencies can be programmed according to customer requirements.

Complying with NATO STANAG 1074, the system includes a unique monitoring feature that enables the user to listen to any transmission occurring at NATO standard frequency – while operating the transceiver at a different frequency. Additional special features include compensation for the loss of intelligibility due to propagation effects, repetitive playback of the last received message, and automatic recurrent transmission of vocal messages – such as safety warnings when towing a Variable Depth Sonar.
